Most of the units that fought in the American Civil War contained at least some Irishmen. However, certain formations contained larger numbers than others; some were raised specifically as Irish regiments, for example the 90th Illinois, while others were dominated by Irishmen as a consequence of either recruiting patterns or the combination of companies from which they were made up. The aim of the After Action Reports page is to provide access to the battle reports of these units as they appear in the Official Records.
